This project involved the adaptive reuse of an existing building, transforming it into a state-of-the-art Toyota car workshop located in Jhilmil Industrial Area, Delhi. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable design and efficient space utilization, we undertook significant modifications to create a functional, modern facility that meets the specific needs of automotive servicing while maintaining the character of the original structure.
Our design philosophy centered on enhancing the existing architecture while integrating contemporary workshop standards. The project aimed to balance functionality with aesthetics, ensuring a smooth workflow for mechanics and an inviting atmosphere for customers. By maximizing natural light and ventilation, we created a workspace that is both efficient and comfortable.
Key Features -
-
Layout Optimization: The internal layout was reconfigured to streamline operations, incorporating dedicated zones for vehicle reception, servicing, diagnostics, and customer interaction. This flow minimizes wait times and enhances the overall customer experience.
-
Sustainable Practices: We implemented energy-efficient lighting and ventilation systems, as well as rainwater harvesting mechanisms. These initiatives help reduce operational costs.
-
Material Reuse: In line with our adaptive reuse approach, many materials from the original building were repurposed. This significantly reduced waste and resource consumption.
